Kearney a doubt for Argentina clash
Rob Kearney is a doubt for Irelands November international clash against Argentina after suffering a shoulder injury playing for Leinster at the weekend.
The fullback was replaced shortly after halftime in Leinster’s routine 31-3 win over Treviso at the weekend. Ireland coach Joe Schmidt will be hoping to have Kearney back for Ireland’s game’s against New Zealand and the U.S.
A relatively inexperienced Irish squad featuring uncapped duo Ross Byrne and Will Addison has travelled to Chicago for the game against Italy at Soldier Park this weekend.
Ireland will be without captain Rory Best, vice-captain Jonathon Sexton, and Peter O’Mahony for the match against Italy after Schmidt elected to leave them at home. But they are expected to be involved in the preparations for next week’s game against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland, who are currently ranked second in the world rankings, will be hoping to earn only their second ever win against the All Blacks, who currently sit first in the rankings when the two sides meet at the Aviva on the 17th of November.
Eir Sport will live stream Irelands match against Italy on Youtube, meaning Ireland fans will be able to watch the match for free with the remainder of Ireland’s November Internationals being shown by RTÉ and Channel 4.
