Being a teenager truly is the sweet life. No job. No responsibilities. You live with your parents, and your dinner is handed to you on a plate every evening.

We hope this helps (if not, there is always Nandos) …

Easy Pizza on Toast

Ingredients:

  • Sliced bread
  • Pasta sauce
  • A block of cheese (grated)
  • Toppings of your choice such as mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, pineapple, or any other topping you enjoy (feel free to experiment!)

Method:

  1. Toast the bread lightly so it has some rigidity but not toasted completely.
  2. Pour the sauce evenly over the toast, using a bread knife to cover it evenly edge to edge.
  3. Add your cheese of choice, along with your toppings.
  4. Place your pizza toast on a baking tray and put it under the grill until the cheese begins to melt and bubble. When this is done, take it out of the grill and EAT UP!

Pasta Bolognese

Ingredients:

  • Pasta of your choice (you can’t go wrong with spaghetti)

  • Olive oil

Method:

  1. Heat a large saucepan over a medium heat hob. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and once hot, add the beef mince. Cook the mince until well browned over a medium-high heat hob (be careful not to burn the mince. It just needs to be a dark brown colour).
  2. Add your bolognese sauce and cook on a medium heat hob for 15 minutes.
  3. When ready to cook the spaghetti, heat a large saucepan of water on the hob and add a pinch of salt. Cook according to the packet instructions.
  4. Once the spaghetti is cooked through, drain and add to the pan with the bolognese sauce. Mix well and serve.
