The Student Leap Card is the national travel and discount card. The card allows full-time students to get their student discount on travel fares when travelling on Go-Ahead Ireland, Luas, Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann, Dart and Irish Rail. You can also get exclusive discounts at SLC brand partners including DID Electrical, deliveroo, GAA and McDonalds.
How can you get a Student Leap Card?
There are three different ways to get your Student Leap Card, here are the options;
1) Apply Online & Collect at Agent
Apply online by clicking here!
Once you have filled in your application, taken/chosen your photo, and submitted it, you can then go pick up your card at one of the Student Leap Card express agents.
Note: You will need to bring your student ID and €10 (only cash accepted)
2) At The Agent (Paper Application)
You can visit one of the Student Leap Card express agents (list here) who can print your card within minutes, once your application is completed.
They also have a number of printerless agents (list here) who can process your application. Once they process it, your card should arrive at your provided address within 3-5 working days.
3) Postal Application
Download the postal form from the Student Leap Card website here, and fill in PARTS A+B. Once you’ve filled them in, check your application over, and send it to them at the address below.
Include the following with the application:
- €7.00 payment (NO CASH ACCEPTED!)
- Photos (Affixed as stated on the form)
Note: If your form is filled out incorrectly, it will be returned to you and a €5 administration charge will be levied to cover the costs of processing.
