Freshers’ Week Survival Guide
Here are some top tips to get you through Fresher’s Week!
Do not spend all of your money…
Fresher’s Week is full of opportunities to spend money. Make sure to set out a budget, you don’t want to find yourself eating pasta for the next 8 months.
Collect all the free stuff…
Make sure to bring a backpack with you around campus this week. All the brands, companies, clubs and societies will be handing out bags of free stuff. You can never have too many pens and noodles!
Don’t drink too much…
Freshers’ Week is famous for parties, clubs and pubs. It is a great way to get to meet new people, make some friends, and have an unforgettable night during your first week of college.
Just be careful not to drink too much, and try to stay with people you know will look out for you.
Get yourself moved in…
If you are moving into college accommodation or digs, Freshers’ week is the perfect time to get settled in and used to your surrounding. Take some time to get your room sorted and meet your roommates, it will be worth it in the long run.
Try to get to a lecture (or two)…
Freshers’ Week will be full of late nights, but try your best to make it to as many lectures as you can. Trying to figure out your timetable can be tough, it is best to try to do this in the first week.
Be yourself…
College is the perfect place to truly be yourself. Embrace the fresh start.
Enjoy every minute of it…
Fresher’s Week is bloody brilliant. Enjoy it!
