So recently I’ve been choosing the cinema as my go-to date night as the dark Winter nights set in. In the past few weeks, I’ve seen some amazing films, such as;
1 Bohemian Rhapsody
All I can say for this one is… WOW. I may be biased as Queen is my favourite band, I even have bohemian rhapsody lyrics tattooed onto me. So this one hit close to home. During this movie I felt like I was watching the real Freddie Mercury and the rest of the band, go through their amazing career. The acting is flawless and the storyline is intense and will make you feel so many emotions, I bawled most the way through, but some parts are so gripping, plus you’ll be laughing out loud! If you’re not a Queen fan, I’d still recommend this movie, there’s nothing I can flaw. Amazing job!
2 A Star is Born
Another absolutely amazing movie with flawless acting from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. This movie is slightly intense as it takes you through the consequences of alcoholism and how it can take a toll on you and the people around you, and this movie has a very tragic ending. Even though this movie still has me in tears if I think about it, it has left an impact on me, and I believe that’s what good movies are made to do. This isn’t a so-called ‘chick flick’ even though the story is of a young couple in love, the depth of the storyline is much, much more, and it will stay with you through life.
This movie is filled with tension and gore. Although the pre-D-Day war storyline was highly intriguing and extremely interesting, the gore got too much for me. This movie is a zombie/action movie for people who love guts and gore, not my cup of tea, but my boyfriend had to see it twice he loved it! I guess each to their own. Overall I enjoyed it, but I couldn’t even look at half of it!
They’re my top 3 movies of this month so far.. all amazing actors and storylines! I hope if any of you go to see them you’ll enjoy them as much as me.
